No. Anyone can visit a Podiatrist without a referral.
However a referral is required if you wish to claim third parties reimbursement such as Department of Veterans’ Affairs; Work Cover; or GP's care plan.
Most of private health funds offer podiatry covers under the "extras" cover. However this will depend on the level of cover you have chosen. Please check with your health fund provider.
Yes, but only if you are referred by your Doctor under the Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC)/Chronic Disease Management(CDM). This program allows up to five visits per calendar year to allied health professionals, including Podiatrists, for eligible patients. Speak to your GP practice to see if you are eligible.
For those that are not eligible for the EPC program we can process your private health fund rebates on site through our HICAPS system.

Do you treat children?
Yes we regularly treat children. We can help with ingrown toenails, flat foot, intoeing, ankle sprain, and growing pain.
Children are one of our larger patient demographics which is no surprise considering the rapid growth spurts they have and the levels of activity they participate in.
We conduct a thorough Paediatric assessment and screening on all children who present to Fit n Feet Podiatry.
