Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a Podiatrist or Physiotherapist at Fit N Feet?
No, a referral is not required to book an appointment as a private patient. However, a doctor's referral is necessary if you are accessing care through Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans (CDM / EPC), DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs), or WorkCover.
Does Medicare cover Podiatry and Physiotherapy visits?
Yes. If your General Practitioner sets up a Chronic Disease Management (CDM/EPC) plan, Medicare covers up to 5 subsidised visits per calendar year across podiatry and physiotherapy. We process Medicare rebates on-site at our practice locations.
Can I claim my Private Health Insurance extras on the day?
Yes. All of our clinics feature HICAPS terminals so you can claim your private health fund rebate on-the-spot at your appointment.
